Partnership with ETH Zurich
ETH Zurich and Kinematica have been working closely together for 25 years, promoting innovation for the food industry. This partnership has already resulted in several machine innovations, such as the dynamic enhanced membrane machine MEGATRON® MT-MM and the foaming machine MEGATRON® MT-FM. An important role in this partnership is also played by the renowned Professor Dr. Erich J. Windhab. Windhab studied chemical engineering and process engineering at the University of Karlsruhe (TH), where he received his doctorate in 1985 from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering under Hans Buggisch. On behalf of the government of Lower Saxony, Prof. Windhab founded the German Institute of Food Technologies (DIL) in Quakenbrück in 1985 and was promoted to Vice President in 1987. Since April 1992 he has been full professor of laboratory of food process engineering at the Institute of Food, Nutrition and Health Sciences at the ETH Zurich. Dr. Lea Meier-Pokorny also received her doctorate at the ETH Zurich under the supervision of Professor E. J. Windhab.
